I swear I wouldn't post this if it didn't demand!

Eoin Colfer to write sixth Hitchhiker book

Apparently by request of Adams' widow--he mentions the opportunity being like "suddenly being offered the superpower of your choice".

I have nothing original to say that doesn't sound crazed and LOLgirlish.

It's not just superpowers, it's like being asked to write fanfiction. To be published. By the wife of the author.

He is so lucky.

I hope it's good, is all.

Um, wow?

I could never do that. Take on someone else's characters? Tell their story? It's like Tamar all over again. I know they were smited by God and all, but I wouldn't have wanted to be the guy responsible for providing a heir for my dead brother, either--no matter how pretty the chick was--and no matter how legendary the book is.

That said, you better believe I'll read it. Heck. Thanks for the awesome link, Red. You're definitely in the right loops--glad I'm in yours. :P

When I saw this I couldn't think of anything to say that didn't start with ZOMG.

Last weekend I was defending myself against a friend's assertion that I posted too much in my other blog about tea. I tried to remember how I had gotten started on that obsession, and then I realized it was Douglas Adams's fault.
