Okay. The new novel that was starting to talk to me a couple of weeks ago?

Has now spilt its guts. I may have a couple months, if I'm lucky. A few weeks if I'm not.


DANGIT, GIRL, I want to write Vigil first! And then Archivalist! I have a backlog, why can't you just queue up?



Because that is not the way this works. Obviously.

Hahaha. Well, that's basically what happened to me with my Gothic Novel, and now it's going the rounds with agents! So this could be a good thing...

Well. It's not like it hasn't happened to me before. A half-hundred times.

I'd say this is probably the part I have the most anxiety and uncertainty about, consistently: when to start a project, and when I can let it wait. A weird fear that I may have broken projects in the past by not starting soon enough, or the opposite...


But whatever. This one feels a little layered, so I'll be expecting a few more large pieces to fall into place. And maybe Vigil Assistance or that PITA project, is destined to be worked on slowly and steadily? I don't think it's going to die just because a diva moves in with an agenda. X)
