Fact:
I stepped on a Japanese top the other day. They are shaped much like the simplified mushroom, and are designed to turn over, then spin on their stems. This means it's stem is straight up when at rest.
I now have a reasonably impressive stone bruise.
Fiction:
I really am curious how many people ever forget they're totally naked.
Honestly.
I understand being unthinkingly skimpily clad, or not caring that you're naked, but unknowing nudity is a fictional facet I find myself torn out of a story by. Particularly in females. Even under certain amounts of stress (anything less than sheer panic).
This is, of course, limited to Americans. (Though the European style bathers I've seen seemed to parade rather than just BE.)
Fact:
I did some clean-up on various writings today, but I wish I were more sure about what next to do on World Domination 101 to make their militant upbringing more real.
Fiction:
Runaways--Teenage Wasteland took a step into "camp" for this volume (understandable) or was in the beginning, but the Viable Paradise list discussion just let me in on the concept's reality a bit better.

I'm caught up in Inuyasha now. What can I say? Golden eyes and sturdy feet on a guy who nearly flies just get me, y'know? (srsly; I like his feet, and it's not that I have a thing for feet)
Really curious about Sesshomaru's "sonna mono aru wa nai"* (I don't have any such thing [something to protect]) in Movie 3-Blades of an Honorable Ruler.
There's some psychology there I didn't catch. He's thinking about his dependents (and maybe reflecting on how annoying they are, but it didn't seem so) and then after saying *that acts to help Inuyasha save the world in a way that would seem a contradiction. Denial?
Ah, such fun trying to humanize cold demon-creatures with pretty faces. (And pretty face-paint.)
