2010 in Review
Jan. 2nd, 2011 12:49 pmmy tally runs:
Short Stories - 13
Novel Queries - 12
Poems - 36
The first two figures are abysmal, pretty much. Short stories my only excuse is how few I am actually circulating. Poems, I did better than I thought! Granted, you send multiple poems to one magazine in a lot of cases, but that's still poems I got the guts to put on a piece of mail and send out. I do sometimes not send one more because I don't think it's good enough.
I also published and was paid for two poems this year! One was accepted last year, the other resubmitted from last year. This bodes well for the poems still pending now, perhaps?
LJ Edition:
I collected these yesterday, and I have to say this is the best list I've been able to make. Objective to blog better: MET. At least to my own standards.
And heh, the first story I wrote last year... >,< Still a fun one! Still unfinished, so to speak, since I rejected my original ending. It's basically a retake on a Korean manhwa trope, so it's an instant-trunker, just for me. Unless a miracle happens...
First Story started of the Year...
School Lord Games
It wasn't all bloody noses and ultimatums.
February
I just held a Writing Workshop, for my littler siblings.
March
ETA: my name is on a magazine~! Hopefully my poem is in it, too...
April
Must be spring! Tykes of about 15 are checking me out in the grocery store parking lot.
LJ's current header is really delightful...I wonder how long it will last?
~ today's Serious Shojo Quote ~
"I fail as a princess!"
Twilight may have provided [us] with little beyond GREAT joke fodder, but I will say:
I approve of non-white guys with long black hair going shirtless in a wolfboy manner.
With fog and cobweb glinting among the blooms and leaves, the magic settles over the roses in the Beast's garden.
WAH!
I would take the new LJ header as my layout in a heartbeat. <3
...don't mind me. I find Fall intoxicating.
I've had a few friends do the "month of books" meme going around, and express frustration at the fact that it became repetitive as they kept having their favorites brought to mind, and the questions were a bit simplistic.
SO.
A Month of Imagery or something
1. Take a photo of YOU -- it's ok to be vain today!
The Advent of Apocalypse
They are combing each other's hair when the end comes.
