I have never in my life read something so completely lacking in connective tissue between scenes like this manhwa "I Accept You".
...so why am I still turning pages? Hmm, Bethany?
The problem with the standard girls' manhwa is they have these really punchy set-ups, and then devolved into high-drama soap opera cliches. It's like the k-drama, without the pretty sets or realistic-looking men. And yet sometimes they put just enough fresh lemon in...
Like in this one, where the guy has a girlfriend who's gorgeous, well-regarded, and tells her he won't go out with the heroine...because she's not low like them. You're left sitting with these cues to something intriguing and wondering how he's going to get over that.
Also, because it's a girl-manhwa, you can never tell if they are going to just all up and die in the end.
I avoid them mostly because this is not my kind of junk-food, but we'll see how far I get with this one, and it's charming refusal to make segues of any kind.
