Black and White, Ep.6, requisite squee

This is my per-episode check in to tell you what is awesome about this show.

I've been keeping a gleaming eye on the department's Old Guy, and today he's taking the two young heroes to his contact about a tip. BEST HERO WALK ENTRANCE EVER.

He's so chill and grandpa-like and yet even just standing there you know he's awesome. For what besides his level-head and unnatural lifespan for a policeman in this city? I don't know. YET.

They're going to kill that cute undercover guy, aren't they. HE MENTIONED HIS KID does he not know how shows like this go?

Ahaha, it is MOST EXCELLENT how Chen Lin can walk into a room, totally cool, and both the boys start squirming. A very welcome power-dynamic...I will miss it when people start really pairing up. If they do.

She brings the policemen donuts XDDDD And then they worry she's there to tell the other guy they made moves on her. She brings the bromance some nice narrative tension, it's great.

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the scientist girl as the Other Chick? Because she's better than that. Her fragility makes me feel bad.

Please tell me how this is going to work out?

She IS better than that, don't worry! I really love her (even though I can't remember her name at the moment D:). You don't see many wistful characters in twdramas. She's more like the typical secondary guy than secondary girl, actually. She seems really fragile but has her own kind of strength. One of the great things about B&W is that not only does it have multiple strong female characters, its ladies are strong in different ways!

NO. YOU MISLED ME, I STILL HAVEN'T. Also, I'm watching it...savoringly? Shall we say? I'm only on episode 6. I feel as though it's around the corner now...

It's a rare drama that gets a girl *more* excited about its potential with every episode. It's a bit out of my usual range of kissy-fluffy-noona-calling-romcoms, but after I really was into City Hunter last year, *timeripple* kept pitching it to me. :)

It only gets better, too. It's one of those dramas you can watch and rewatch and pick up new things every time. Shit is actually planned! It's awesome!
